Glynn Couch, LCSW CASAC
My name is Glynn Couch and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). I was born and raised in Upstate New York and currently live in the Buffalo, NY area. I earned my Bachelors in Health and Human Services as well as my Masters of Social Work degrees from SUNY University At Buffalo.
During my 8+ years in the mental health field, I have worked with a diverse population of clients facing many concerns including anxiety, depression, addiction, low self-esteem, and severe and persistent mental illness. I have also worked in a broad range of treatment settings such as outpatient clinics, community based services, crisis response, and corrections based treatment.
My therapy style combines several treatment approaches and modalities so that I can tailor treatment to the specific needs of my clients. I especially enjoy incorporating mindfulness techniques to help clients identify conscious and subconscious thought patterns that impact their outlook on life. I also utilize EMDR for client with a history of trauma.
